Through the hard work and creativity of local surfers, as well as the technical smarts of weather forecasting people, such as those at NOAA and the US Navy, the Charleston area is rich with good, reliable surf-related web sites, instructors, shops, shapers, camps, organizations, and enthusiasts. www.PalmettoSurfers.net aims to support their efforts by highlighting the strengths and uses of those resources. 

PalmettoSurfers also hopes to be a surfing community online bulletin board that local surfers, shapers, and shop owners can use to:

• Advertise their surf-related goods and services to those coming to, or living in the coastal South Carolina area
• Submit news and videos about local events and happenings in and/or relevant to the waveriding community
